Two new huge remixes by Dirtyphonics promoted by UKF

7 May

If you’re new to drum & bass and dubstep as genres, one of the first artists you must check out is Dirtyphonics. They’re known for their hard-hitting drum & bass, and you get absolutely no shortage of that here in their Skrillex remix. I can only imagine how much confidence an artist must have when they attempt to remix Skrillex’s choppy and chaotic tunes…well Dirtyphonics have put their heads together and created one of the best drumstep remixes around. This is likely my favorite remix of Skrillex ever done.

While they have mainly produced drum & bass in the past, they are now starting to make some of the strongest contemporary dubstep around. Just listen to their new remix of Does It Offend You, Yeah’s single, “Wondering.”

New video for Rusko’s recent single, “Everyday”

Here it is, the first official video shot for Rusko’s newest release, Everyday / Lick The Lizard. Although there was already a video made for “Lick The Lizard” (comprised of newly cut together images from the cult classics Boxers Omen and Hausu, this new video for “Everyday” is the first official video to actually be shot for the song.

Skrillex remix of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”

Although he has unfortunately announced that his laptop and harddrive containing his new album was stolen, Skrillex at least has something positive for his fans.

Just a minute ago, Skrillex uploaded to his facebook an early version of his brand new song “Died This Way.” He did not upload it to youtube, but he claims it is his work.

Feed Me releases a new Nero remix and gives his fans a preview of his upcoming EP

27 Apr

Feed Me has been hard at work since his Mau5trap debut EP, Feed Me’s Big Adventure sold incredibly well on Beatport.

He has since performed on the main stage at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival and put out various singles and remixes such as the remix to Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend.”

Now Feed Me has a new remix…this time it is of Nero’s “Innocence.”

Another gift that Feed Me gave his fans recently is a teaser for each of the songs on his upcoming 4-track EP, Feed Me to the Stars. So far, this EP is sounding fantastic, incorporating some electro house, some dubstep, even some breaks. It’ll be nice to hear the full versions of each of these songs.

Here is a longer clip of the title track “To the Stars,” being performed by Feed Me at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival.

New music video for Flux Pavilion’s “Bass Cannon”

27 Apr

Not too much to say here. Everyone knows that Flux Pavilion has a great influence over the modern age of dubstep. Everyone also knows that his recent single, “Bass Cannon,” is one of the hardest hitting dubstep song ever created. Just take a look at the goofy video below. You’ll also see his Circus Records partner, Doctor P make an appearance.

Skrillex featured in the new trailer for Playstation’s Uncharted 3

24 Apr

This is the second time, this month, that Skrillex’s music has been used in a trailer for a video game. First, his “Reptile” track was used in the main trailer for the new Mortal Kombat 9.

Now, the trailer showcasing the brand new multiplayer modes and features inUncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is all to the tune of Skrillex’s original mix and Bare Noize’s dubstep remix of “Kill Everybody.”

Just for fun, here is the aforementioned Mortal Kombat 9 trailer featuring Skrillex’s “Reptile.”
