Two new huge remixes by Dirtyphonics promoted by UKF

7 May

If you’re new to drum & bass and dubstep as genres, one of the first artists you must check out is Dirtyphonics. They’re known for their hard-hitting drum & bass, and you get absolutely no shortage of that here in their Skrillex remix. I can only imagine how much confidence an artist must have when they attempt to remix Skrillex’s choppy and chaotic tunes…well Dirtyphonics have put their heads together and created one of the best drumstep remixes around. This is likely my favorite remix of Skrillex ever done.

While they have mainly produced drum & bass in the past, they are now starting to make some of the strongest contemporary dubstep around. Just listen to their new remix of Does It Offend You, Yeah’s single, “Wondering.”

Two new music videos for the Drum & Bass giant, Wreckage Machinery

24 Apr

Christopher Wehsner, the Austrian native, has been hard at work for a long time now refining his liquid and cinematic Drum & Bass style. He’s been featured on the very popular UKF Drum & Bass youtube channel and worked on projects with various record labels such as Sinuous, Trust in Music, and Basswerk, just to name a few.

Well, so far this April, he’s had two new music videos be released. One is the dark, urban video for “Paradox.” The other video takes things into outer space with the appropriately named “Cosmos.”

Beatport is making efforts to help raise money for Japan

21 Mar

Today on Monday, March 21st, every single dollar made in sales on the online music retailing powerhouse will go directly to relief in Japan.

This is incredibly generous considering that the website is far and away the most robust retailer for anything EDM.

So, if you were waiting to make a purchase on Beatport, today is the day to do it. All of the money you spend today will be going to a great cause. Below is a link to Beatport.

Also, if you’re looking to help Japan in another way through electonic music, check out the article I wrote on UKF Dubstep and Heist’s efforts (link below).

Heist works with UKF Dubstep to help raise money for relief in Japan

20 Mar

Today, british record label, UK’s Finest Dubstep uploaded a brand new track produced by Heist to their popular youtube page. The song titled “Pray For Japan,” and although listeners are able to download it for free, donations are much appreciated.

The track is respectful and relaxed, but really nicely produced. I suggest you take a listen. Also, this is the link to UKF’s donation page where you are also able to download the tune for free.

And in addition to this huge release by Bare and the SubHuman team, they decided to give us fans a FREE 320 kbps download of a Bare bootleg of The Game’s “Purp & Yellow.” Here is the soundcloud link (which includes a free download)
