Finishing up freshman year with final exams kept me so busy that I couldn’t come on here and update the blog. Sorry guys.
Now back to posting…
Sorry for the lack of posts!
12 MayAloe Blacc’s LP, “Good Things,” gets certified Gold in France
5 May
The Stones Throw Records crooner, Aloe Blacc, did big things when he released his Good Things LP. “I Need A Dollar” became an instant success, achieving Platinum and Gold sales in Switzerland and Germany respectively. All in all, his R&B style won over the hearts of just about everybody. Now his whole LP has reached Gold status in France, so lets just keep our fingers crossed that Aloe Blacc can keep up this winning streak.
Feed Me releases a new Nero remix and gives his fans a preview of his upcoming EP
27 Apr
Feed Me has been hard at work since his Mau5trap debut EP, Feed Me’s Big Adventure sold incredibly well on Beatport.
He has since performed on the main stage at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival and put out various singles and remixes such as the remix to Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend.”
Now Feed Me has a new remix…this time it is of Nero’s “Innocence.”
Another gift that Feed Me gave his fans recently is a teaser for each of the songs on his upcoming 4-track EP, Feed Me to the Stars. So far, this EP is sounding fantastic, incorporating some electro house, some dubstep, even some breaks. It’ll be nice to hear the full versions of each of these songs.

Star Slinger’s refix of “Ready for the World”
27 AprKeeping in harmony with his recent production, Star Slinger is back with another tune to add to his repertoire of great remixes. This time, he put his unique spin on “Ready for the World” by How to Dress Well. The thing that has truly hooked me about Star Slinger’s style is his amazing ability to preserve the authenticity of a song while adding his elegant, refined sound. This Manchester magician deserves praise:
The new hot duo, Karmin, is back with another hip hop cover
27 AprKarmin was brought to viral fame this month with their cover of “Look At Me Now” by Chris Brown. Well, they’re already back now with yet another contemporary hip hop cover, this time, Lil Wayne’s “6 Foot 7 Foot.”
Take a listen below and download the song for free here.
Brand new music video for Nas & Damian Marley’s “Nah Mean”
24 AprThis duo was responsible for one of my favorite albums of last year, Distant Relatives. Since that release last May, they have put out a couple videos for various singles such as “As We Enter” and “Patience,” but now we have one for the dynamic “Nah Mean.”
It’s guerilla visual style and simplicity allow for the song to take control, and I wouldn’t have enjoyed it any more if it were done another way.
